According to the FBI, the culprit entered the Bank of America at 6425 Rising Sun Ave. in Lawndale at 10:08 a.m. on March 20 and handed a demand note to a teller. But he soon fled the bank empty handed in an unknown direction. Investigators did not say what caused him to flee.

Just 35 minutes later, the same man showed up at the Citizens Bank at 7327 Frankford Ave. in Mayfair, handed a demand note to a teller and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen on foot southbound on Frankford Avenue.

The crook didn’t seem to disguise himself. He is white, in his early to late 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He has brown hair, a moustache and a beard. In both incidents, he wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray Phillies cap with white “P” logo. In the Frankford Avenue robbery, he also wore a dark gray “North Face” jacket.

To report information about either case, call the FBI at 215–418–4000 or police at 215–686-TIPS. ••
